We would like to present one of our projects that we are very proud of and with which it was a pleasure to work: the Pompeu Fabra University (UPF) cafeteria.

This university, located in Barcelona (Catalonia), is considered one of the most prestigious in our country, reaching very good positions even in global rankings; and that is why it is an honor for us to have been able to contribute our grain of sand when it comes to improving the lives of students and various workers who frequent these facilities on a daily basis.

Being a large cafeteria with room for a large number of people, it is normal that sound is one of the main concerns in this place, where many of the students take the opportunity to relax and review their notes. A place like this needs specific conditioning to be able to mitigate the reverberation, otherwise, the intensity of the sound in the room would be so high that you would have to raise your voice to be able to hold a proper conversation.

In order to meet this objective, we installed panels in this cafeteria Ideatec acustic High 16, with a White melamine finish that combines perfectly with the rest of the room.

In this case, the client wanted to cover a single wall, which is enough to absorb all the excess noise. But this product is also available to be installed on ceilings, in addition to many other variables that are completely customizable to the taste of each client, because at IDEATEC we like to adapt to the demands of all our buyers.

Some features of this product that make it one of our best solutions is the easy installation it offers, in addition to having a fairly high average sound absorption coefficient. It is a light material that can be coated to give it water-repellent and fire-retardant properties (highly recommended for this type of place that welcomes a large number of people every day), perfectly washable and highly resistant to scratches and impacts.

As you can see, the finish of these sound-absorbing panels is impeccable, as they are made up of wooden slats, which always give the space a sophisticated and clean touch; and the final result is more than optimal, giving the cafeteria a better sound and turning the space into a place where you can relax, eat and talk comfortably without noise being a problem.
