At ideatec we are pleased to present one of our latest projects, and of which we are proud to have been a part. This time we have come to the United States, specifically to Miami, Florida. This is the acoustic conditioning within the expansion project of the Lubavitch Aventura South synagogue.

The work began in 2017 and consisted of the remodeling of a synagogue taking into account different technical challenges. In Orthodox Jewish temples, no type of electronic reinforcement, microphone or speakers can be used. ideatec participated in the acoustic conditioning of the main room, providing solutions that achieved the objective of achieving a high degree of speech intelligibility and effective acoustic conditioning against outside noise.

The team of architects with whom we had the pleasure of collaborating was Walters-Storyk Design Group, an internationally renowned company dedicated to architecture and acoustics. This company is a leader in consulting and engineering services, specialized in the implementation and integration of technology in space.

The project consisted of the installation of suitable acoustic absorbent material to control the different auditory factors that affect the space and thus achieve noise reduction. To do this, the ideatec team installed wood acoustic panels Ideatec acustic Standard 32, a solution as effective as it is elegant.

Wood is one of the most functional acoustic absorbers, trapping and dissipating sound waves. In this case, both the side walls and the back of the room were covered, enough to absorb the noise produced in the seating area. The chosen finish was Walnut veneer, which combined perfectly with the interior design of the room. It is noteworthy that the ideatec acustic 32 panels were designed including the candelabrum, one of the Jewish symbols.
